It’s Thursday- Jen and Max’s First Day Solo

Well, first of all, it’s really Saturday morning now. We are falling behind on some of the posts due to Max’s nightmarish sleep schedule. The days are so awesome here in London, but Max cannot sleep at night.
Wednesday night he work up at 1:00 and did not go back to sleep until 5:00. Last night he did not go to sleep for the night until 3:45! We have a routine of things to do and see in the hotel lobby in the middle o the night, as Max will scream like a banshee until we get him out of this tiny room.
Chris and I are pretty exhausted. I think we are keeping our sense of humor, but I am not sure.
ANYWAY, here are some of the photos I took while out and about with Max while Chris had his first day at the conference. Max and I were out and about from 12:00 noon until about 5:30.
Highlights-
1. Lattes at the Tate while Max chased pigeons (yes, I had two lattes to try to wake up)
2. Chasing more pigeons on the lawn under the huge ferris wheel called the London Eye
3. Seeing Big Ben and Westminster Abbey again as we walked all the way to Buckingham Palace
4. Wandering through St. James Park and seeing all the ducks and other birds
5. Figuring out how to catch the Underground back home

Later that night after Chris was done with his first day of the conference, we took a walk across the river to see St. Paul’s Cathedral. The neighborhood was full of business types, mostly men, having a pint. That seems to be the scene on many street corners of London.
