On Wednesday night after Max took a nap we trekked out via the London Underground to the National Gallery because they are open late on Wednesday nights. The museum is located next to Trafalgar Square in the center of London. Nelson’s Column stands in the middle.

The National Gallery was incredible. There is so much work there that we learned about in school and did not expect to see. Some examples are Botticelli, a rare Michaelangelo painting, several Da Vinci’s, and Seurat’s Bathers to name a few. Max did not make it too long there. He started out playfully screaming because he enjoy the echo of the gallery, but it soon turned to tears and we were running out the front door. Max later rewarded us by staying up from 12:00 am- 5:00 am. It wasn’t like I had a conference to go to the next day!

This was a great view from the entrance way of the of the National Gallery looking down towards Big Ben and Parliament.
Back to the Hotel on the Underground (aka the Tube).
